Mayuri V. Patel, DMD
From the time Dr. Patel had braces at the age of 14 she knew she wanted to be an orthodontist. Like so many of her patients, Dr. Patel never smiled before she had braces and the boost in confidence this provided when she was a teen has played a big role ever since. Today, her favorite thing about being an orthodontist is the genuine relationships she’s able to build with patients. She says it’s like becoming a part of their families and this fuels her passion to treat every patient like a member of her own family.

As a first-generation American, she is so thankful to her parents who sacrificed everything to bring her up in America where she could receive a great education. She attended Tufts University in Boston where she received her dental degree. After that, she completed her general practice residency at LIJ Medical Center in New York and her orthodontic residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Having grown up in Brandon, choosing to practice orthodontics in Tampa was easy. When she’s not busy creating beautiful smiles, she loves spending time with her husband Bhavin, and their two amazing boys – Aiden and Shaan. Life’s an adventure!
